Product Description

Commonly known as Red ash,  Alphitonia excelsa can range from a shrub to a 35m tree depending on it’s growing conditions.

It is fast growing and tolerates salt as it is usually found along the coast. The timber was traditionally used for panaling or flooring, and indigenous people used it as a fish poison when hunting.

It has a high ornamental value and is also bird attracting.
